About Dierks Bentley

Dierks Bentley, born in Phoenix, Arizona, made his mark on the music scene in the early 2000s. Following a transformative trip to Tennessee with his father, he made the move to Music City in 1994. There, he worked a job at The Nashville Network and honed his skills on the Honky Tonk Highway.

Bentley drew inspiration from the classic country sounds of Hank Williams Jr., the modern style of George Strait, and the distinct rhythms of bluegrass. Before long, he identified his niche, bridging the traditional and contemporary. Capitol Nashville agreed, signing him to a deal in 2003.

In the years since, he has scored several #1 hits, including singles like "What Was I Thinkin'," "Drunk on a Plane," and "Somewhere on a Beach." His albums have climbed to the top of the charts, and numerous Academy of Country Music Awards and Country Music Association Awards line his shelves.

In addition to producing fresh and engaging material, Bentley is a family man, spending as much time as he can with his kids. He also owns Whiskey Row, a bar with locations in Arizona, Tennessee, and Colorado, hailed as “a household name for all things country.”

As busy as he is, he still finds time to tour, taking his toe-tapping tunes to fans across America. He dropped Gravel & Gold in February of 2023 and is currently out on the road in support of the album. Catch him when you can!

  • April 18, 2003: Dierks Bentley's debut at the Grand Ole Opry marked a significant milestone in his career. The successful appearance solidified his status as an up-and-comer in country music. Just two and a half years later, he was inducted as the Opry’s third-youngest member.

  • June 7, 2007: At the CMA Music Festival in Nashville, Bentley's performance was a highlight, as he held his own amongst incredible acts like Gretchen Wilson, Trace Adkins, Sugarland, and Big & Rich in front of a record-breaking crowd of over 191,000 excited country music fans.

  • November 13, 2014: Bentley's debut at Hershey’s Giant Center showcased his knack for engaging audiences. He wished one fan a “Happy Birthday,” serenaded another, and shared a cute story about crushing on a girl in a little black dress at his first concert (Bon Jovi and Skid Row).

  • September 26, 2016: At the Red Rocks Amphitheatre, Bentley  brought out Maren Morris for “I’ll Be the Moon.” His big finale, “Drunk on a Plane,” featured him, dressed as a pilot, fumbling to try to get off a plane that had “landed” on stage, soon followed by more pickled passengers.

  • April 28, 2017: Headlining the Stagecoach Festival with fellow superstars Shania Twain and Kenny Chesney, Bentley kicked off his Friday night set with "Up On the Ridge." Elle King joined him for “Worth a Shot,” and his tourmates, Cole Swindell and Jon Pardi, made special appearances.

  • February 26, 2022: After a set that featured “Burning Man” and “I Hold On,” Dierks Bentley and Miranda Lambert electrified Nissan Stadium in Downtown Nashville with their rendition of ZZ Top's "Gimme All Your Lovin'” during the Navy Federal Credit Union NHL Stadium Series.
